Application Procedures

We welcome you to apply to our school for the 2026-27 school year..  Our application process is outlined below. 
  • Donna Klein Jewish Academy accepts applications for Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Complete an application for each child. Click here for the 2026-2027 school year application.  There is a $200 non-refundable application fee. 
  • Once your application is processed, you will be assigned a checklist which can be found in your Eagles Net Account that you created. Submit all required documentation. All recommendation forms are submitted digitally through Eagles Net and will be sent to DKJA directly from your child(ren)’s school. Recommendation forms will be available in your electronic checklist in Eagles Net once the application has been processed.
  • Please send your child's current school the K-12 Record Release Form for each child applying.
  • Use your Eagles Net account to keep track of documents that DKJA has received and what is still outstanding.
Kindergarten:
  • Applicants are required to attend a Kindergarten Activity Day. 
  • Applicants will also be given a nationally-recognized academic assessment  based on their age. (This assessment is separate from the Kindergarten Activity Day).
The Admissions Office will contact parents to schedule the Activity Day and academic assessment after all admissions documentation has been received.
        Applicants for Grades 1-4:
  • Applicants are required to spend a day at the school. Parents will be contacted to schedule a day visit once all admissions documentation has been received. 
  • Additionally, applicants will be given an academic assessment during their day visit.
Applicants in Grades 5-8:
  • Applicants  are required to spend a day at the school. Parents will be contacted to schedule a day visit once all admissions documentation has been received. 
  • Additionally, applicants will be given an academic assessment during their day visit or on a scheduled group assessment day.
  Grades 9-12: 
  • Applicants must take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) and submit the scores to DKJA (score reporting code 2855).
  • Applicants are required to have an interview with the High School Principal.
