Donna Klein Jewish Academy Featured in Two Stories in Hadassah Magazine’s November Issue

BOCA RATON, FL – Donna Klein Jewish Academy (DKJA) is honored to be highlighted in the
latest issue of Hadassah magazine, a highly regarded publication in the Jewish community. The
November edition includes two impactful stories that showcase the critical role Jewish day
schools like DKJA are playing during this pivotal time for Jewish education.

In the first feature, Ramping up - and Rethinking - Israel Education, Sammy Chukran-Lontok,
DKJA’s Director of Judaic and Hebrew Studies, shares her insights on evolving educational
approaches that deepen students’ understanding and connection to Israel. This story
underscores the importance of reimagining Israel education to meet the needs of today’s
students, especially as global dynamics shift.

The second story, Jewish Day School Enrollment Surge Tied to the War, features comments
from our Head of School, Helena Levine, on the increasing enrollment at DKJA. Amid rising
concerns over antisemitism and a marked increase in families seeking Jewish education, this
article sheds light on the factors driving more families to DKJA and similar schools.

With both features touching on timely and relevant issues, this recognition is a testament to
DKJA’s commitment to cultivating resilience, identity, and belonging in the next generation. We
invite our community to read these articles to learn more about the transformative work
happening within our classrooms.
