Re-Enrollment Re-Imagined

At DKJA, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our families. Due to our high rate of re-enrollment each year, we have developed the DKJA Continuous Enrollment Contract.

Each year, current families re-enrolling for the following school year or new families enrolling for the first time will receive a Continuous Enrollment contract that will remain in effect for the remainder of the child(ren)’s enrollment at DKJA.

After the initial contract is signed, parents will not need to sign another enrollment contract unless enrolling a new student. This new contract is automatically renewed annually, (parents will need to submit an Annual Commitment deposit form) and parents have the opportunity to opt out of re-enrollment should there be a change in their educational needs.

Tuition & Fees
The Annual Commitment Deposit of $1250 will be submitted through Tuition Management. Please note that Tuition Assistance applications must still be submitted each year. Tuition Assistance awards are evaluated on a student-by-student basis and circumstances may change each year. Families should not assume the same Tuition Assistance award is guaranteed for each year. The Annual Commitment Deposit must be paid in order to receive the Tuition Assistance award for each student. Applicable fees will be added to your Blackbaud Tuition Management Account. List of 10 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. What is the Continuous Enrollment Anniversary?

The Continuous Enrollment Anniversary is the date each year when your child will be re-enrolled by submitting an Annual Commitment deposit form for the following school year. DKJA will process Continuous Enrollment contracts each year during the month of March. Families will receive several reminders in the weeks prior to the anniversary date.
  • Q. Will the tuition change each year?

The tuition rates and fees will be updated annually. On or about January 15, you will receive information about updated tuition rates and fees.
  • Q. Do I still have to pay an Annual Commitment Deposit?

Yes. An Annual Commitment Deposit (previously known as “reservation deposit” is still required each year. This deposit must be submitted via the Annual Commitment deposit form on or around March 20 each year through your Tuition Management account and applied to your tuition.
  • Q. What is DKJA’s Policy for withdrawing a student after the enrollment contract is completed?

Families who wish to withdraw their child(ren) will need to email the school at enrollment@dkja.net with the name of the student(s), the effective date of the withdrawal, and the reason for withdrawal. The penalties for withdrawal can be found in the current DKJA Withdrawal Policy document.
  • Q. What is DKJA’s Policy for Opting Out of the Continuous Enrollment program?

If a family does not wish to have their child re-enrolled for a subsequent year, they must notify DKJA in writing by sending an email to Enrollment@dkja.net indicating their desire to withdraw the student(s) from enrollment for the following year. This notification must be sent to DKJA on or about February 14 for the following school year’s enrollment. There is no penalty for opting-out of the subsequent school year’s enrollment, but parents are advised that, by doing so, their child’s space in the school is not guaranteed should they decide to re-enroll.
  • Q. What if our circumstances change mid-year, or after the Continuous Enrollment Anniversary in March?

We have built flexibility into the Continuous Enrollment contract to cover major life changes. Changes in circumstances, including moves or financial changes, will be handled on a case-by-case basis with the Business Office. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we do our best to support families through times of change and transition.
  • Q. Does signing this contract mean my child must stay at DKJA through graduation?

No, signing the Continuous Enrollment contract does not bind you to remaining at DKJA through graduation. It merely simplifies the re-enrollment process for parents. DKJA will assume the student is returning for the following school year, unless parents notify us otherwise. If your child is considering a transfer to another school, please Enrollment@dkja.net.
  • Q. Do I need to sign a contract for my new student?

Yes, families with more than one enrolled child will have a contract for each child. Families sending a new student in future years will have to sign a Continuous Enrollment contract for the new student only.
  • Q. Does a Continuous Enrollment contract guarantee enrollment for my child?

No, each family is required to abide by policies set forth in the Parent Student Handbook. DKJA reserves the right to dismiss or not offer a contract to students who violate school policies.
  • Q. Do both parents have to sign the enrollment contract in cases of separation or divorce?

All parents’ or guardians’ signatures are required on enrollment contracts. Each parent is required to sign an identical contract. In one parent/sole custody households where only one parent makes educational and financial decisions, then only one signature is required. Proper documentation will be required in all cases. Enrollment contracts are promises to enroll students, as well as promises to pay tuition and incidental expenses. Even if one parent in a separated household pays, the second parent, by signing, is agreeing to have the child enrolled at our school.
